winchester school of art
A master plan was developed by architecture plb to transform the Winchester School of Art campus.
The Textile and Conservation Centre, a centre of international importance, which undertakes the restoration and renovation of rare textiles from around the world, completed the plan in 1999. The master plan unifies the buildings along a public route, which connects Winchester with the City’s main recreational facilities at River Park.
Spaces around the campus have been left free for students to display their work and allow social interaction. A feeling of security is achieved through the building’s uses, orientation and activity.
