Creating Place Ltd was appointed by Portsmouth Roman Catholic Trustees Registered in April 2008 to prepare landscape proposals relating to the construction of a new church in Waterlooville, Hampshire.

We realise that churches not only provide places of worship, but provide the local community with a focal point for numerous social gatherings, activities and events. These include formal occasions such as weddings, baptisms, confirmations, funerals; and less formal events such as childcare, fundraising, quiet contemplation and so on. The external spaces around the building were therefore developed to respond to these varied activities and were logically subdivided into areas with their own separate identity.
